Melang Amplifiers - Metal crest

I haven’t posted much on the blog that is design related in awhile, but I have been super busy with all sorts of cool and interesting projects, so look for more design projects to be posted soon. Here’s a snippet of one such project. A local high end amp company called Melang Amplifiers approached me to create their logo and branding and help with the design of some of the faceplate elements of the amps. They recently sent me this snap shot of the final metal amp crest that will be affixed to the front of the amps, I think they came out pretty sweet. More photos to come as soon as I can get my hands on one.

Tom Waits - Sketch

I’ve been so busy lately, I haven’t had much time to draw, but I couldn’t resist fitting in some time for this week’s CS3000 challenge, one of my all time favorites, Tom Waits!

In honor of what would have been Jim Henson’s 75th birthday, here’s a quick sketch. Hope to do a final including at least Kermit.

Here are some of the sketches (and a snapshot of the article in the paper) I did for this week’s Stranger. It features Lady Gaga and Beyoncé struggling to hold up a stack of vinyl records. See the final here »
