Upon opening a second location, Austin, Texas based Fricano’s Deli approached me to redesign their identity and give them a more professional upgraded look while keeping the “Mom and Pop” feel. The challenge was to keep the existing “G’pa Tony” character, but rethink their brand, typography and overall look of signage, menus and promotions, web site, etc. The site needed to evoke this “Mom and Pop” feel while showcasing the new location, photos, updated daily specials, news and events, and of course highlight the menu.
